Abstract:
Growing developments in information and communication technologies especially during the last quarter of the 20th century effected all fields of our lives irreversibly and education activities took part in this transformation process. In this process, time and place limitations, the obligation of being in the same place at same time physically in other words, came to an end. In addition to that the distance education added the opportunity of asynchronous communication to synchronous communication and thus flexibility in educational environment increased more. However it’s impossible to evaluate the advantages that distance education brought denying the human factor. The attitudes of individuals toward this technology and their acceptance are critically important for processing the system efficiently. Within this context, technology acceptances of distance and formal education students were examined, it’s researched if there are significant differences in these two group and tried to be interpreted in this study.
