Abstract:
It provides important data in terms of examining the sectoral components of payments made by Credit Cards and Debit Cards, revealing the inter-sectoral relations, Bank and Credit Card sub-sector breakdowns on a periodic basis, understanding the expenditure dynamics, revealing periodic distortions, similarities and differences, and preventing structural problems, if any. In this context, the eigenvalues and eigenvectors of the variables were separated on the basis of sectors using Principal Component Analysis (PCA) method and the relationship between sectors was interpreted with correlation analysis. In the light of the findings, it is observed that the structural features of Credit and Debit Card Usage differ from other sectors, especially in the Private Pension, Public/Tax Payments, Telecommunication and Airlines sectors.
