THE MEDIATORY ROLE OF UNETHICAL BEHAVIOR IN THE EFFECT OF STOCK OPTION ON ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT

Abstract:
The purpose of this research is to examine the mediating role of unethical behavior in the effect of stock option on organizational commitment. The sample of the research consists of 447 people working in companies with stock option applications. It was determined that there were statistically significant differences in terms of scale scores between working period, working status in a workplace that practices stock-option, status of having stock-option and income status groups. A very weak negative relationship was detected between the Employee Satisfaction with Influence and Ownership scale score and the Unethical Behaviors score. A very weak negative relationship was detected between the Organizational Commitment scale score and the Unethical Behaviors total score. A moderate positive relationship was detected between the Employee Satisfaction score regarding Impact and Ownership and the total score of Organizational Commitment. Additionally, it was determined that Unethical Behaviors significantly predicted Organizational Commitment scores. Finally, it was concluded that Unethical Behaviors, Influence and Ownership significantly predicted Employee Satisfaction scores.
