Abstract:
As an ideology Nationalism is a modern political thought which still preserve its effectiveness. But this effectiveness does not comes only from ideologies own dynamics. Usually authority uses communication mediums to channel and formulize this ideology for its own interest. Art especially cinema is an organic medium for this purpose. Nations and nations cinema industries do not hold back to profit from this organic bond. On the other hand Third Cinema uses an opposite way from communication methods of authority and First Cinema. This difference in method also viable for understanding nationalism and symbolization of heroes who embody nationalism.
